Randomised Coffee Trial

You are here:
  1. Your Library Service
  2. Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust
  3. Randomised Coffee Trial

As part of our focus on Knowledge Management, the LTHT Library and Knowledge Service is running a “Randomised Coffee Trial” across the Trust in April.

A Randomised Coffee Trial is an opportunity to meet up online or in person with a colleague from elsewhere in the organisation who you may otherwise never meet.  The idea is to build relationships, improve communication, encourage collaboration and share knowledge and ideas.

If you would like to sign up to take part just complete the form here.

We will put you in touch with another colleague and you can arrange a mutually convenient time to meet.  We recommend you allow 20-30 minutes for this.

Undecided? Take a look at last years testimonials.

"It was great to meet a colleague that I would never normally have met and connect and feel part of the wider LTHT community. I enjoyed our conversation and we both learnt about what the other person is passionate about, which doesn't always come up in conversations that are strictly work related and transactional. Such a fantastic initiative!"

"I spoke with someone from the LTHT Digital Clinical Team and we fairly quickly realised we both love being nerdy about data so we had a really good chat! I've been planning to do an evaluation of my team's data for a while and Vicki gave me some great advice on which teams to contact, and how much of the data can be extracted from PPM+ vs having to comb through it manually. It was also really interesting to hear about Vicki's career path into clinical patient safety."

"With the colleague I was paired with, I have learnt new skills, shared skills and have more of an awareness on other projects and work going on throughout the Trust. We were both able to understand one another's job role, share ideas and suggestions from our expertise, and support each other to deliver successful quality improvement initiatives. Furthermore, building a network, and having a further connection to go to, has improved my job satisfaction and awareness of non-clinical roles across the Trust, whilst too further appreciating the importance of our non-clinical DIT staff and how they support clinical staff to deliver the day-to-day patient care."
